Shop in Charlevoix’s downtown area

Charlevoix is a small town with a lot of charm and unique shops. In addition, there is something for everyone. Moreover, there are a lot of great books, unique food items, Charlevoix memorabilia, new clothes, art, and sweet treats that you can buy here. Check out The Mercado for a lot of new things to do downtown.

On Lake Charlevoix and Lake Michigan, Charlevoix has some of the best beaches in the world. In addition, you can easily get to Lake Michigan Beach from downtown by walking along the pier. This makes it ideal for a slow stroll. People who go to Ferry Beach can swim in the shallow end of Lake Charlevoix, play on a playground, and build sandcastles on the sandy beach, which is great for kids. For information on the many other beaches in the area, check out our site.

Living by the Lake

Freshwater is what Charlevoix is all about. During your visit, we suggest going out on the lakes in a kayak, sailboat, or paddleboard. You can also rent a motorboat or stand-up paddleboard. Also, take a canoe trip down the Jordan River. If you want to take it easy, you can have a guide take you on a raft. If you’re more experienced, you can rent canoes or kayaks. This is a good thing to do with your friends and family.

Charlevoix has a lot of great trails, whether you want to go by Lake Michigan’s shore or in the woods. Please check out the Mt. McSauba Recreational Area, Charles Ransom Nature Preserve, and Fisherman’s Island State Park, which are all in the same area. They all have great views of Lake Michigan and a lot of trails.
